Community Supported Agriculture

A simple way to get fresh, locally grown vegetables throughout the season.

Down to the Dirt Farm offers seasonal CSA shares that providae weekly vegetables picked fresh for farm pickup in Grafton, Massachusetts.

What Is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It’s a crop-share model where customers purchase a share of the farm’s harvest at the start of the season.

By signing up for a CSA share, members pledge their support to a farm and their investment helps cover early-season costs like seeds, materials, and labor during a time when income is otherwise limited. In return, members receive a weekly share of fresh vegetables throughout the harvest season and share in the bounty of what’s grown.

This model requires farms to grow a great diversity of crops, anywhere from 40 to 60 or more varieties of vegetables and fruits. This diversity allows the farmer to both provide shareholders with options throughout the season and mitigate the risk of crop loss.

As your farmer, I do everything within my power to ensure there is plenty to share.
